Abbas Makes Clear His Vision for 'Peace'

While members of the international community focus on the establishment of a Palestinian state, believing it will bring about true peace and prosperity, the Palestinian leadership's own vision for peace is often ignored. But insiders say that a careful look at what Palestinian President Abbas envisions as peace makes it apparent that the Palestinian leadership is seeking Israel's destruction, instead of peaceful coexistence with the Jewish state. "We have frankly said, and always will say: If there is an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital, we won't agree to the presence of one Israeli in it," Abbas says.
